Unlovable Man

Following the haunting debut Gypsy, Unlovable Man marks a deeper, darker turn for Tony Daunt and the Dauntless. It's a record forged in reckoning — unafraid to sit with sorrow, longing, and the weight of hard-earned truths.

The beauty in being broken - and the courage in owning it.

Unlovable Man is a bold and emotionally charged second album from Tony Daunt and the Dauntless. While it doesn’t shy away from themes of regret, addiction, and inner conflict, it also brings a sharper edge and a more dynamic energy to the band’s sound. Alongside the brooding ballads and intimate confessions are driving, uptempo tracks that pulse with defiance and momentum. Gritty yet melodic, the album moves between storm and stillness — a reflection of lives lived hard, hearts worn open, and the music that rises from both.

Some scars don't fade. Some songs don't flinch.

For this album, Tony is joined by a talented group of collaborators who bring depth, texture, and fire to his songs. With Louis Jarlov on guitar and keys, Sebestény Balázs (Sebi) on upright bass, Kevin Place on pedal steel, Bevan Lange on drums, Sarah Jay and Kati Ohens on backing vocals, the band creates a rich sound that shifts seamlessly between brooding ballads and driving, uptempo moments.
